Kathy Beswick
Director, Nail Technician & Salon Owner
Kathy has owned The Finishing Touch for over 32 years. She has won awards and achieved the highest levels of training in advanced nail technology. She is trained by CND America and LCN in Germany to Educator Level.
Kathy takes pride in The Finishing Touch being the pioneering salon worldwide to introduce clients to gel polish (Shellac). As the first gel soak-off polish in the market, Shellac made its debut in New Zealand after years of research and development. Kathy acquired the complete kit brought by CND USA for the 2010 Auckland launch and showcased it at the Bridal Expo in Wellington. The longevity of the polish captured local attention and created an immediate demand for manicures. Subsequently, other companies have since introduced their own gel polish product lines.
Kathy has been involved with film and television work including nails for ‘The Lord Of The Rings’ and ‘The Hobbit’ movies. She has also transformed many celebrity nails including Cate Blanchett, Miranda Kerr and Eddie Izzard to name a few.
She is a passionate nail technician who specialises in helping nail biters and pickers (men & women). Kathy has an expert team who share her passion of nail art, especially intricate designs. Bring in a nail art picture and they may be able to reproduce it on your nails.
